1999 EDITION: XIII Solidarity Prize awarded to the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Area (ARPI) of the Association for the Rehabilitation and Adaptation of Disabled People in the Capacity of Integrated Socialwork (ARAPDIS), and the Honorary Prize for Work in the Mass Media awarded to '30 Minuts'.

In 1999, IDHC awarded ARPI with the XIII Solidarity Prize.

The prize consisted of a work of art generously donated by the sculptor Etsuro Sotoo.

The jurors also awarded the television programme “30 Minuts” (30 Minutes) from Televisió de Catalunya (Catalonia Television) with the Honorary Prize for Work in the Mass Media.

The bestowment of Premi Solidaritat and Menció Mitjants de Comunicació took place on the 22nd February, 2000, in the Catalonian Parliament. Mr. Joan Reventós i Carner, President of the Catalonia Parliament, and José Manuel Bandrès, honorific president of the Human Rights Institute presided the act.
