We find it worrying that our society is getting increasingly used to violations of human rights, at home as well as in the world outside. This highlights the need for everyone to know, recognise and respect theirs and others rights.

IDHC organises projects and activities with the aim of making the application of the human rights something real.

Every year we award the “Premi Solidaritat” (Solidarity Award) and “Menció Especial Mitjans de Comunicació” (Honorary Prize for Work within the Mass Media) with the aim of recognising and promoting the efforts of numerous people and associations in their daily fight for human rights.

IDHC is also engaged in various projects and initiatives in order to advance a culture of peace and respect for fundamental rights in our society.
